Back Injuries Following a Car Accident
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Car accidents are one of the most common causes of back injuries in this country. Back injuries suffered as a result of a car accident include whiplash, lumbar or lower back sprain and strain, spinal cord injuries and compression fractures of the bones of the spine.
Back injuries caused by car accidents are painful, life-altering and at times life-threatening injuries. This type of injury can cause chronic back pain, numbness in the extremities, muscle weakness, bladder and bowel dysfunction and paralysis.
Whiplash injuries can lead to long term disability if left untreated and lumbar or lower back sprain and strain injuries can result in debilitating pain that worsens with activity. Spinal cord injuries can cause serious nerve damage resulting in paralysis and infection, sexual dysfunction and uncontrollable muscle spasms.
If you have suffered a back injury as a result of an automobile accident, you may be eligible to be compensated for your medical expenses, loss of wages and future potential earning capacity along with rehabilitation costs and your pain and suffering. An experienced automobile accident lawyer will be able to assist you in getting the compensation you deserve.

Rear End Collision Car Accidents
Saturday, July 18th, 2009
There are over 2.5 million rear end collisions in the United States annually. A rear-end collision is the most common type of automobile accident and has the least number of fatalities connected to it.
Unfortunately, due to this fact, insurance companies feel the occupants of an automobile impacted in a rear end collision escaped injury. That fact is not true in every case. Low speed, rear end collisions can produce serious injuries for the people involved. The human body was not designed to absorb the impact of a collision the way a car bumper was.
Whiplash is the most common injury suffered in a low impact rear end collision. Whiplash is a soft tissue trauma to the muscles and ligaments of the neck, causing pain, swelling, stiffness, headache, nausea, numbness and loss of balance.
An experienced rear end collision accident attorney will tell you that in almost 100% of instances, the driver who rear ended you is at fault. When you suffer an injury due to someone else’s negligence you deserve to be compensated for your injuries.
If you or someone you love has suffered an injury due to a rear end collision car accident and you live in Orlando, Florida or the surrounding area, please contact The Law Offices of Michael Barszcz, M.D., J.D. today to schedule a confidential consultation at no cost to you to protect your legal rights and determine whether you are entitled to compensation for your injuries.

Cell Phone Use and Car Accidents
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009
Millions of Americans rely on cell phones to communicate in their daily lives. This reliance on cell phones has dramatically increased the number of people who use them while driving. Drivers who use cell phones to talk and text represent a real danger to everyone on the road and also to themselves. Car accidents and cell phone use are in the headlines on a daily basis.
Over 80% of all drivers say they use their cell phones to talk or text at some point while driving. The other 20% are most likely not being totally truthful. Cell phone use while driving causes at least 2,600 fatalities every year and that number seems to be climbing. There are more cell phone using drivers on the road every day then there are drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) study revealed that distractions are responsible for over 25% of all car accidents. The only way to protect yourself and those you love from cell phone use related car accidents is to refrain from using a cell phone while driving.
If you or someone you care about was injured in a cell phone related car accident and you live in Orlando, Florida or the surrounding area, please contact an experienced car accident lawyer at The Law Offices of Michael Barszcz, M.D., J.D. today to schedule a confidential consultation at no cost to you to protect your legal rights and determine if you are entitled to compensation for your injuries.
